In the shadowy town of Olde Scentamento, whispers of Hazel Deadworth still linger. Her candles, once the pride of the village, now burn with an eerie glow, with each flame holding a fragment of her tragic tale.

You will gather among friends, strangers, and suspects to solve a mystery…
before the last candle flickers out.

Receive Your Character Role – Before the event, you’ll get your assigned persona with clues, secrets, and objectives.

🎃 Find the Killer!

Arrive to the experience at 4:00pm razor-sharp and find out who the killer is- or you may be next!

  • Flicker + Fright is an immersive murder mystery party inspired by the haunted tale of Hazel Deadworth and my Flicker + Fright candle collection. Guests take on characters, enjoy bites and drinks, and work together to solve the case.

  • Yes! Guests will be assigned a character role ahead of time. Costumes aren’t required, but they make the experience way more fun. Think eerie elegance, ghostly glam, or whatever fits your character.

  • Yes. You’ll receive a short character description in advance so you can come prepared. On the night of, you’ll get extra details and secrets to help you play your part.

  • Not at all! A lot of it is improve, with only very few important details you will be provided in secret throughout the night. You can lean into your role as much or as little as you’d like. The goal is to have fun, mingle, and piece together the mystery.

  • Your ticket includes admission to the event, an assigned character role, refreshments + heavy appetizers, and entry into the awards ceremony (yes, there will be prizes 👀).

  • No refunds, dearies… once you step into my story, your role cannot be undone. Each missing soul leaves holes in my haunted tale, and the mystery unravels without you.
    And beware the latecomers… if you drift in more than 30 minutes past the start, you may spectate, but the spirits shall bar you from guessing my killer or claiming the night’s prizes. Time waits for no mortal…

    All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued. Because each guest is assigned a character and plays an important role in the story, cancellations or no-shows affect the entire mystery and how the game unfolds.

    Please also arrive on time! If you are more than 30 minutes late, you may still be able to join the event, but you will not be eligible to participate in guessing the killer or to win end-of-night contests (Best Dressed, Best Sleuth, Biggest Balla). This keeps the game fair and fun for all players.

  • Plan for about 2.5–3 hours. That includes time to settle in, play out the mystery, and wrap up with awards.

    It is very important to be on time to get the full expirience.

  • Not jump-scare scary, but it definitely has spooky vibes. Think more eerie, mysterious, and fun than truly frightening.

  • Absolutely! Just keep in mind everyone will be given different characters to play and need to purchase their own tickets. You may end up scheming against each other!

  • Due to our spacing and intricate story-lines, you’ll have to either be involved or join the next dinner experience.

  • This tale is not for tender ears… only mortals 16 years or older may walk among my haunted halls. Bring a guardian if you’ve yet to cross into adulthood, for the night grows darker with every clue…

    Flicker + Fright is recommended for ages 16 and up. The storyline, themes, and atmosphere are best suited for older teens and adults. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.
